When downloading the latest Saitek drivers and control software however, the throttle would not light up, the MFD was displaying a generic boot message, and upon changing any settings using the joy.cpl applet the PC would be "soft locked": applications start slow and Windows shutdown/reboots fail. The system I was installing on was brand new, and the Windows 7 Pro install was completely fresh and updated. It would be wonderful to even have a solution that just makes me select the mode by an external program or let me set a profile and mode and stick it there, without changing it.ĮDIT: Thanks everyone for the kind help, but I ended up returning the hotas to Amazon, as after getting a response from logitech saying that it was probably broken and after finding this thread, I am very positive that the joystick was defective.Right, I hope this may be some help for people that have issues similar as me when installing their Saitek X52 Pro on a brand new Windows 圆4 installation. I know this is a software problem as the led next to the mode switch lights up with the correct color every time. I have already tried to completely uninstall and reinstall the driver and program. trying to re-select a mode with the appropriate wheel is useless, as the result is completely random, most of the time it does nothing, other times it only lights up the top number without displaying "Mode #" (and therefore without working) ( picture)and other times it works, and then turn off again shortly thereafter. Often, after loading a profile on the device, the mode gets randomly "disabled" by itself, meaning that none of the 3 mode is active ( picture), preventing me from using the vast majority of the buttons.
